We are comprised of members caring for a loved one with a mental health issue. We promote healthy family units and holistic wellness through peer support, education, advocacy and sharing - encouraging growth and healing in a safe and confidential place and manner!

What is family Peer Support?
The goal of Peer Support is to provide an empathic connection with someone who has experienced mental illness in their family.

The N F P offers you:

Family Peer Support from trained, knowledgeable workers;

Educational and social recreation opportunities;

Practical suggestions and ideas;

Hope, empathy, support, validation and understanding;

Information about the illness and the recovery phase;

Confidential mentoring with people who can relate;

Outreach to Mattawa and Sturgeon Falls;

Information on resources and services in our community;

Confidential, non-judgmental interaction;

Emphasis on self-care, stress management and personal awareness.
